The Miracle of Saving Lives...at
Dover
To meet the needs of increasing patient volume, provide for decontamination
facilities in the event of a bio-chemical emergency and create improved
patient access and medical triage, Saint Clare’s must expand
and renovate the Emergency Department at the Dover campus. The project
will expand the current  patient-care area by some 4,000 square feet
and increase the number of rooms from 14 to 28. The new Emergency
Department will be equipped with a Registration Area, a new Waiting
Room, new Triage Room and an expanded Fast Track area to decrease
patient waiting time. In addition, new Cardiac and Trauma Treatment
rooms will be created to provide for specialized emergency care.
The project will also include upgraded and improved “entry
points” from outside parking areas as well as a by-pass corridor
linking the new Emergency Department with the hospital lobby.
