DENVILLE, NJ - August 27, 2007 - Oncology and
Hematology Specialists, P.A., one of the region's leading medical
oncology group practices with offices on Pocono Road in Denville,
has committed $125,000 to the healthcare system's Miracles capital

its $30 million Phase I goal, and helps the Saint Clare's medical
staff exceed its combined $3 million pledge to the campaign.
"Our medical staff has been a generous and vital partner in our
Miracles campaign efforts," said Gary J. Blan, President and Chief
Executive Officer of Saint Clare's Health System. "We are grateful
for the generosity and vision of Oncology and Hematology Specialists
in helping our campaign past the $29 million mark and their colleagues
to exceed their $3 million pledge. This outstanding regional oncology
group has been a valuable team player in the resurgence of Cancer
Care at Saint Clare's and their gift will be allocated toward the
continued development of Saint Clare's comprehensive, compassionate
and individualized cancer care services."
Oncology & Hematology Specialists, P.A. Supports Miracles: Oncology and Hematology Specialists, P.A., one of the region's leading medical oncology physician practices, recently made a $125,000 pledge to Saint Clare's Miracles capital campaign. The group's generous gift puts the overall campaign at more than $29 million toward the Phase One goal of $30 million and helps the Saint Clare's Medical Staff exceed its combined pledge of $3 million dollars to the campaign. Taking part in the announcement of the gift were (back row, l-r) Dr. Michael Russoniello, co-chair of the Medical Staff Division of the Miracles Capital Campaign; Dr. Stephen M. Schreibman, Dr. Jason S. Levitz; Gary J. Blan, President and CEO of Saint Clare's Health System; (front row, l-r) Dr. Barry A. Reiter; Dr. Fazal Bari; and Dr. Naveed A. Jan. (Not pictured, Dr. Rashid Abbasi).
"Oncology and Hematology Specialists has been in the Morris County
community for over 30 years, and during that time Saint Clare's
has long been our ally in bringing the best medical oncology services
to patients throughout the region," said Dr. Fazal Bari, a partner
in the group. "Our gift to the Miracles campaign is in appreciation
for the support and commitment that has been shown to us by Saint
Clare's Health System. Our combined efforts have truly made a positive
impact on the health of our community."
Oncology & Hematology Specialists, P.A. is dedicated to the delivery
of the highest quality medical care to its patients, and is committed
to treating its patients with the utmost respect and compassion.
All physicians are board certified and fellowship trained at some
of the nation's leading institutions for cancer treatment and research.
The practice, which also has offices in Morristown, includes Barry
A. Reiter, M.D.; Stephen M. Schreibman, M.D.; Fazal Bari, M.D.;
Naveed A. Jan, M.D.; Rashid Abbasi, M.D.; and Jason S. Levitz, M.D.
Supporting these leading medical oncologists are Denise Del Gaudio,
RN, APN, C; Deborah Smith, RN, APN-C; and Alyssa Sheridan, PA-C.
According to Dr. Bari, the group's new primary office location
in Denville makes it more convenient and reassuring for patients
undergoing treatment to have the inpatient and outpatient oncology
services of Cancer Care at Saint Clare's in close proximity. For
those receiving chemotherapy treatments at the practice's office
and radiation treatments at Saint Clare's, appointments for both
services can usually be made for the same day, making it more convenient
for patients and their families.
"This gift marks a major milestone in the commitment of the Saint
Clare's Medical Staff to the Miracles campaign," said Michael Russoniello,
M.D., co-chair of the Medical Staff Division of the campaign. "With
this very generous gift, the Saint Clare's Medical Staff has now
exceeded its pledge and commitment of $3 million to the campaign.
Through the combined generosity of Oncology and Hematology Specialists,
P.A. and more than 150 doctors, our colleagues have made a mark
toward ensuring the best possible medical care for the people of
northwest New Jersey for many years to come."
Cancer Care at Saint Clare's, located at Saint Clare's Hospital/Denville,
brings together some of the area's top radiation and medical oncology
physicians, state-of-the-art technology, and the outstanding quality
of care for which Saint Clare's has always been known. In addition
to the recently completed outpatient center, Saint Clare's has plans
for a comprehensive cancer center for both inpatient and outpatient
cancer care services. This center would include outpatient services
for radiation and chemotherapy, inpatient beds, a tea/garden room,
a family resource/library center and a tranquil healing garden.
Inpatient rooms in this new facility would be private and feature
an ante-room for families visiting loved ones.
Miracles: Saint Clare's Vision for the Future was launched in May
2006 with a goal of raising $50 million over the next several years.
Phase One of the campaign, with a goal of $30 million, will conclude
later this summer. To date, the campaign has raised gifts and pledges
of more than $29 million toward that goal. Miracles will support
a host of projects and new facilities system-wide, including new
emergency departments at the Denville, Dover and Sussex hospitals;
a new pediatrics center; a new cancer center; and enhanced behavioral
health programs for children and adults.
